Abstract

This short paper considers the discussion about a role of Russian psychology within the context of the worldwide science. A viewpoint that Russian psychology is a part of the global science is proposed. Despite regional specifics of science could be useful for itsfactological, phenomenological, and theoretical aspects, indigenous nationalspecifics of methodology and experimental techniques are fraught with danger for development of psychology. A main statement of this paper is that purposeful isolation of Russian psychology in order to preserve identity is harmful in general. The unique national features will manifest themselves naturallythrough development of psychology within the framework of the worldwide scientific methodology.
