Abstract

The 2018 Nobel Prize in Chemistry was awarded for discoveries in the field of protein design, which importance is difficult to overestimate these days. Dozens of different “designer” antibodies are used in medicine today, which were created on the basis of the methods developed by Frances H.Arnold, George P.Smith, and Sir Gregory P.Winter.
