Abstract

In the article the formation of a quasi-religious cult of revolutionary martyrs as one of the forms of "transfer of sacredness" is considering. The formation of this phenomenon in the Narodnaya Volya's movement of the second half of the XIX century in the Russian Empire is investigated. Particular attention is paid to the study of Lenin's biography through the prism of the Narodnaya Volya's ideals both lifetime and posthumous perception of V. Lenin as a martyr of the Revolution.
