1 On November 28, 2019, during the 2019 Moscow Legal Week, a panel conference on Challenges of Legal Support of Management of Companies with State Participation in the Energy Sector was held at Rosseti, PJSC. Videoconferencing arranged by Rosseti, PJSC, and Gazprom, PJSC, allowed for participation in the round-table discussion of representatives of energy companies from different regions.
2 The following issues were discussed at the conference:
3 Topical issues of legal support of corporate management in state-owned energy companies;
4 Allocation of powers among management bodies;
5 Necessity to unification regulations on corporate management in state-owned energy companies;
6 Sufficiency of regulations on directives for government representatives in joint-stock companies;
7 Responsibilities of government representatives in management bodies of state-owned jointstock companies.

11 Members of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Committee for Energy Law and Development of Fuel and Energy Complex Legislation, professors, post-graduate students, graduate students of the Energy Law Department of the Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSAL), employees, post-graduate students of the Energy Law Center of the Saint Petersburg State University of Economics, representatives of energy companies participated in the round-table discussion.
12 Summarizing the results, the members noted the need to continue the discussion and joint elaboration of the issues of corporate management in state-owned energy companies with a view to prepare proposals for improvement of the current regulation, including industry-specific regulation.
13 The excursion to the Command Center of Rosseti, PJSC, was met with great interest by the conference members.
14 The Association of Lawyers of Russia contributed massively to the event. The CEO – Control Officer, Board Member of the Association of Lawyers of Russia, Stanislav Aleksandrov, presented Chairman of the Association of Lawyers of Russia Committee for Energy Law and Development of Fuel and Energy Complex Legislation Victoriya Romanova, member of the Association of Lawyers Committee for Energy Law and Development of Fuel and Energy Complex Legislation Leonid Akimov, member of the Association of Lawyers Committee for Energy Law and Development of Fuel and Energy Complex Legislation Inna Kashlikova with certificates of appreciation of the Association of Lawyers of Russia.
