Abstract

The article is devoted to the Venezuelan migration crisis, which broke out in 2018–2019. The reasons for the mass outflow of the population from the country traditionally perceived as the recipient of the workforce are analyzed. This phenomenon is considered in close connection with the development and decline of the oil industry of the Latin American country, the socio-political course of its governments. The influence of the outcome of the Venezuelans on the stability of the regime of Nicolas Maduro is determined. An assessment of international action to resolve the refugee problem is given.
