Abstract

Ten-day mean sea surface temperature (SST) series are collected using satellite measurements for 22 coastal areas adjacent to the river mouths at the Sakhalin Island for spring to summer (May–July) periods of 1998–2017. Average long-term dates for the onset of comfortable conditions for the release of salmon fry (+6–7 C), mean square and extreme deviations from these dates have been determined. Synoptic conditions of 2011 were analyzed, under which there were the greatest delays in the release of salmon fry from the hatcheries.
