Ноэль Пирсон: свой среди чужих, чужой среди своих?

В статье анализируется деятельность одного из самых известных правозащитников Австралийского Союза Ноэля Пирсона, чьи идеи и практические шаги в области аборигенной политики привлекают к себе самое пристальное внимание общественности. Выходец из семьи аборигенов из штата Квинсленд, он зарекомендовал себя как адвокат, успешно защищавший земельные права коренных народов Австралии, и как создатель и руководитель Кейп-Йоркского Института политики и лидерства, под управлением которого в подопечных ему общинах аборигенов проводится целый ряд реформ. Однако его деятельность далеко не всегда пользуется единодушным одобрением в среде аборигенного сообщества, но поддерживается правительствами Австралийского Союза.
