Abstract

The section examines the main confession common in the Russian Far East, their history and current state. The evolution of state-church relations in Russia is traced and the features of the religious life of the Far East in various historical periods are noted. The activities of foreign missionaries in the Far East in the 1990s — 2000s are characterized. The reasons for the wide spread of non-traditional religions in the Far Eastern region in the post-Soviet period are formulated. Possible trends in the religious landscape of the Far East in connection with migration processes are determined.
