Abstract

Food security is an important component of the progressive development of any modern state. The determining factor of its provision is the rational use of land in agriculture. The relevance of the article is due to the presence of a number of negative trends, namely: a reduction in the area of agricultural land, a decrease in their quality. The aim is to analyze the current state of regulatory regulation of certain issues of rational land use in the field of agriculture in the context of food security of the Russian Federation. In the course of the study, the existing shortcomings and gaps of the current legislation affecting the effectiveness of the policy implemented by the state in the field under consideration were identified, author's proposals for its improvement were made.
