Abstract

The article examines the principles of International Law and their role in shaping the foreign policy of the Russian Federation. The article analyzes the norms of the Constitution of the Russian Federation, legislation and the Concept of Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation in 2016. Attention is drawn to certain amendments included in the Constitution of the Russian Federation in 2020. In the course of the study, a conclusion is formulated about the peculiarities of the primacy of the generally recognized principles of international law in relation to the normative legal acts of the Russian Federation. It is proposed to include all the basic universally recognized principles of International Law in the Concept of the Foreign Policy of the Russian Federation.
