Abstract

The article raises and addresses issues related to the definition of the essence and content of terms such as "change of law," development of law, "evolution of law," genesis of law, "transformation of law." The author states that they are currently used in domestic legal science, as a rule, unsystem, and there is no common understanding of their essence. As a result of the analysis, the author proposes to understand the change of law as a continuous process of changing both legal norms and the forms of their implementation, as well as other legal phenomena; Evolution (development) of the law - as a continuous qualitative change of it, characterized by the emergence of new legal phenomena and/or the disappearance of old ones; The transformation of law - as its most significant, radical changes, connected with the restructuring of a large part of the existing rule of law. In addition, in the article the author proposes his understanding of the ratio of these terms, as well as highlights the potential of evolution and transformation of modern law under the influence of modern digital technologies.
