The article considers the needs and possibilities of scientific support for countering transnational terrorist crimes; substantiates the relevance, theoretical and practical significance of the designated topic; defines the organizational and legal aspects of scientific support for countering transnational crime; characterizes the international terrorist organization "Islamic state".
