Abstract

The article is devoted to the consideration of historical and legal aspects of the punitive policy of the leadership of Soviet Russia against the representatives of the deposed Imperial dynasty. For the first time summarized data about the number of members of the Imperial house, who were in Russia at the time of the overthrow of the monarchy, in relation to the number of repressions among them. The question of the peculiarities of the legal system of Soviet Russia in 1918 - 1919, which led to repression against members of the dynasty, was considered in detail. It is shown that the basis for extrajudicial decisions on the execution of representatives of the former Imperial house was the dictates of the “revolutionary conscience” of authorized officials, which was a legal source of law in Soviet Russia in the described historical period.
