Numerical Modelling for Unsteady Capillary-Gravity Waves

The paper studies plane parallel problems of numerical modelling for wave propagation. Potential flows of the perfect incopressible fluid are considered. A numerical algorithm for a free boundary calculation is proposed. The algorithm is based on the boundary element method using quadratures with no saturation. With the help of the algorithm, the process of capillary-gravity waves breaking and cumulative jets generation is studied. Numerical stability and high accuracy of thin cumulative jets calculation are achieved due to special control of mesh points distribution and mesh step size reduction in the neighborhood of the jets forward ends with the huge curvature growth.
