Abstract

In October 2022, the next, 20th Congress of the CPC was held in Beijing. The delegates heard a report over the past 5 years delivered by the General Secretary Xi Jinping, outlined tasks for the future. Xi Jinping became the new head of the party again, for the third time. The delegates focused on the development of a new strategy for economic and social development, the purpose of which is the comprehensive construction of a modernized socialist state. The new ideology – a combination of Marxism with the provisions of traditional Chinese culture was approved. Much attention was paid to the course “one country – two systems” and the peaceful solution of the Taiwan problem. The issue of the content of the global project “building a community of the common destiny of mankind” was considered. It was decided to continue the resolute fight against corruption, and special attention was paid to the purity of the party ranks.
