Abstract

The paper addresses critical comments regarding my concept of the formal status of aspect in Russian voiced in a recent article by Elena V. Gorbova entitled “Aspectual formation of Russian verbs: inflection, derivation, or a set of quasigrammemes? (‘sore points’ of Russian aspectology revisited)”, which appeared in Voprosy jazykoznanija (2017. No. 1. Pp. 24—52). Additional arguments for the word-classifying nature of the Russian aspect are provided.
