Abstract

The article provides a general historical analysis of the publishing activities of the Institute of Psychology of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1972–2021. On the basis of archival materials, the role and place of academic book publishing in the scientific-organizational and research activities of the Institute of Psychology are shown, key events and stages of its development are highlighted. The high importance of independent publication of publications in the dissemination of the results of scientific research and formation of the scientific status of the organization and its employees is noted. The results of a bibliometric analysis of book publications by employees of the Institute of Psychology of RAS for 50 years of its existence are carried out: the dynamics of the number and volume of publications, as well as the personal contribution of individual authors to the total volume of publishing products It is concluded that for half a century, despite serious social-historical and organizational changes, the leadership of the Institute of Psychology of RAS was able to maintain a consistently high level of publication of the scientific achievements of its staff.
