Abstract

The work is devoted to the study of the role of the psychological boundaries of spouses in their interpersonal relationships. The theoretical basis of the work was the author's approach of T.S. Levy, in which the psychological border is considered as a functional organ of the personality. The study involved 46 married couples (92 people), married in a marriage of 5 years. The methods used were: “The psychological border of the personality” Levi T.S., “Questionnaire of satisfaction with marriage” V.V. Stolin, T.L. Romanova, G.P. Butenko, “Features of communication between spouses”Yu.E. Aleshina, L.Ya. Gozman, E.M. Dubovskoy, “Typical family state” E.G. Eidemiller, V. Yustitsky. In accordance with expectations, it was proved that the better the psychological boundaries of spouses are formed, the more positive their interpersonal relations, the higher the level of satisfaction with marriage. The specificity of the relationship between the level of satisfaction with marriage and psychological boundaries in men and women is revealed. The types of psychological boundaries of respondents are revealed. The features of the relationship of spouses with a different combination of types of psychological boundaries in a pair are proved and described.
