Abstract

The article discusses the issues related to the theory and practice of the social investment state. The author describes the general situation which led to the emergence of the idea of such a state, analyzes the conceptual foundations of this approach, its advantages and disadvantages, as well as its practical implementation degree. The author concludes that, despite the fact that at the moment in practice there is no shift towards social investment state, it can be regarded both as a theoretical construct and as a possible direction of the welfare state change, which gives it a new impetus to develop under modern social and economic conditions.
