1 On October 12-14, 2022, Moscow hosted the anniversary Russian Energy Week International Forum at which the most current trends in the development of various branches of the energy sector at the national and international level were discussed.

3 The 2022 Russian Energy Week’s slogan is Global Energy in a Multipolar World. Russian President Vladimir Putin made a speech at the Russian Energy Week 2022 plenary session and noted that “the stability and balance of energy markets and the secure future of nations can only be ensured by joint efforts in an open and honest dialogue based on the principles of joint responsibility and respect for each other’s national interests.”
4 Alexander Novak, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Bolat Akchulakov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Fatih Donmez, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Turkey, Parviz Shahbazov, Minister of Energy of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Board and Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazprom, PJSC, attended and spoke at the plenary session.
5 As part of the business program of the anniversary forum, Viktoriya Romanova, Academic Supervisor of V.A. Musin Research Center for the Development of Energy Law and Modern Legal ScienceAutonomous Non-Commercial Organization took part in the panel session Russian Fuel and Energy Complex under Sanctions: Help or Harm? moderated by Anastasiya Bondarenko, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation. The panel session was also attended by Pavel Zavalny, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Energy, Daniil Krainsky, Deputy General Director for Legal Regulation of Rosseti, PJSC, Mikhail Galperin, Deputy General Director and Head of Legal Affairs Department of Inter RAO, PJSC, and Zhanna Sedova, General Director of Enel Russia, PJSC.
6 The participants discussed the problematic aspects of legal regulation of the energy sector in the conditions of imposed sanctions, trends in energy laws, including energy resources export, and possible legal models of resolving foreign trade disputes.

8 At the Youth Day within the Russian Energy Week 2022, V.A. Musin Research Center for the Development of Energy Law and Modern Legal Science together with the Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation and the Association of Lawyers of Russia held the traditional All-Russian contest Young Lawyer in the Energy Sector. The Youth Model of Energy Law. The finalists of the contest were awarded on October 14, 2022.
9 The awarding ceremony was attended by Anastasiya Bondarenko, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation; Viktoriya Romanova, Academic Supervisor of V.A. Musin Research Center for the Development of Energy Law and Modern Legal Science Autonomous Non-Commercial Organization, Chairman of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on Energy Law and the Development of Law in the Fuel and Energy Sector, Elena Spiridonova, Executive Director and Head of the Administrative Office of the Association of Lawyers of Russia; Anna Efimova, Deputy Managing Director and Director for Legal Affairs of Mosenergo, PJSC, member of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on Energy Law and the Development of Law in the Fuel and Energy Sector; Larisa Titova, Director for Legal and Corporate Affairs of Gazprom Energoholding, LLC, member of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on Energy Law and the Development of Law in the Fuel and Energy Sector, Nikita Zhabin, Head of the Regulatory Affairs Directorate of the Legal Work Unit of Inter RAO, PJSC, member of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on Energy Law and the Development of Law in the Fuel and Energy Sector; Vadim Shabunya, Director for Legal Regulation of MosTransProject State Budgetary Institution, member of the Commission of the Association of Lawyers of Russia on Energy Law and the Development of Law in the Fuel and Energy Sector, Alexander Bulavinov, representative of the Department of Legal and Corporate Affairs of Rosatom State Atomic Energy Corporation.
10 Speaking at the awarding ceremony of the All-Russian contest Young Lawyer in the Energy Sector. The Youth Model of Energy Law, Anastasiya Bondarenko, State Secretary, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation, noted that the level of work of the participants is getting higher every year, the lawyers in the sphere of fuel and energy complex bring up current issues of legal regulation in various energy sectors for discussion, present proposals worth sharing and supporting.
