Abstract

Spain was characterized by a high proportion of migrants in its population, which was perceived by the majority of Spanish society as excessive, raising concerns about the increased crime, insecurity, competition for jobs and social benefits. With the growth of Islamophobia and xenophobia towards migrants, it was important to analyze the integration problems, that most affected migrants from Africa and Latin America. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of social, ethnic, cultural and religious characteristics of the Muslim and Latin American immigrant communities on their integration into Spanish society. The empirical basis for the analysis includes the results of investigations by the Spanish think tanks and statistical data from the National Institute of Statistics of Spain on the subject. The analysis showed that the key problem of integration is discrimination against migrants in the labour market and in housing rentals, and the main factors determining the level of discrimination are not so much cultural, religious and ethnic characteristics, as a low social status of immigrants. The success of the migrants’ integration depends directly on the results of combating discrimination, xenophobia and racism, which create social tension in society and contribute to the isolation and marginalization of migrants. The results of the immigrant survey indicate that social class and work are determinants of the subjective well-being of immigrants, which means that the labour market is the main area of integration policy. In this regard, labour management and employment policies for immigrants, especially low-income workers, should be the first and central core of strategies for social integration and for combating discrimination and racism.

1	ВСТУПЛЕНИЕ
2	Испания относительно недавно стала привлекательной для иммиграции страной. Еще в 1992 г. число иностранцев, проживающих в ней, составляло 393 тыс. человек, и более половины из них имели европейское происхождение. Но начиная с конца 1990-х годов ситуация постепенно изменилась. К концу 2021 г. число иммигрантов в Испании достигло 5440 тыс. человек и составило 11.5% населения страны [ист. 1].
3	В миграционном населении Испании преобладают выходцы из трех регионов: прежде всего из Латинской Америки, на которую приходится около 40% испанских иммигрантов, затем – из Европейского союза (36%) и Африки (приблизительно 18%) [ист. 2, p. 3]. Эти миграционные потоки существенно отличаются друг от друга [ист.3] не только по этнорелигиозным и лингвистическим параметрам, но и по таким характеристикам, как экономическое положение и уровень дохода в стране происхождения, образование, квалификация, профессия, что определяет цели иммиграции и влияет на ее успех.
4	В данной статье исследуются только латиноамериканская и африканская миграции, так как цель работы – проанализировать влияние социальных, этнических и культурно-религиозных особенностей на интеграцию в испанское общество.
5	СОЦИАЛЬНО-ДЕМОГРАФИЧЕСКИЕ ХАРАКТЕРИСТИКИ ИММИГРАНТОВ
6	Миграционный бум в Испании начался в 1998 г., и бурный приток иммигрантов продолжался вплоть до глобального экономического кризиса 2008–2009 гг. В этот период численность переселенцев из Латинской Америки превысила 2400 тыс. человек [ист. 1], увеличившись за 10 лет почти в 10 раз. Число африканских мигрантов также выросло и в 2009 г. составило более 1 млн человек, но рост этой категории переселенцев обеспечивался в основном за счет иммигрантов из Марокко и не был столь значительным. Лишь около 30% африканцев перемещались в Испанию из стран Африки южнее Сахары (АЮС) [ист. 1].
7	По данным на конец 2021 г., количество латиноамериканцев, проживающих в Испании, составляло 3142 тыс. человек [ист. 1], среди которых преобладали выходцы из Колумбии, Эквадора, Венесуэлы и Аргентины. Следует отметить, что динамика численности иммигрантов из этих стран была разной. В первой декаде 2000-х годов самую многочисленную группу составляли эквадорцы, из которых 72% получили испанское гражданство, что является наибольшей долей по сравнению с другими латиноамериканскими переселенцами. После 2015 г. резко увеличилась миграция из Колумбии и Венесуэлы. Однако только 45% колумбийцев и 43% венесуэльцев стали гражданами Испании (рис. 1).
8	Колумбийская община является крупнейшей среди латиноамериканского населения, проживающего в настоящее время в Испании. Среди колумбийцев, переселившихся в период с конца 1990-х – начала 2000-х годов, было много представителей среднего класса [1]. Также в первую декаду 2000-х годов Колумбия лидировала по числу студентов, получавших образование в Испании [2, p. 37].
