Лоты истории. Оборот майяской терракоты I тыс. н.э. на международной рынке антиквариата

Статья посвящена изучению движения майяской фигуративной пластики на международном рынке антиквариата. Автор дает подробную характеристику этапов становления законодательной базы, связанной с защитой памятников историко-культурного наследия как международного, так и регионального уровня. Это позволило выделить хронологические этапы процесса активного формирования частных коллекций терракоты. В материале представлены результаты анализа данных девяти англоязычных и французских аукционных домов. Подробно анализируются возможные пути попадания фигурок на аукционы.

Особое место отведено анализу цен молотка. Подробно рассмотрены различные варианты движения фигурок после завершения аукционов. Сделаны выводы о количестве выставляемых и продаваемых фигурок, динамике их продаж за последние 20 лет с учетом соотношения процентов продаж относительно общего количества фигурок, выставленных на торги за последние четыре года. На примере терракот майя дана характеристика той роли, которую аукционная торговля играет в сфере введения в научный оборот терракотовых статуэток как исторического источника.
