Problems of integration of Latin America in global value chains

The article discusses the problem of the integration of Latin America into the global value chain. The author analyses the main reasons for the weak involvement of Latin American companies in the global production and productivity growth: poor quality and availability of infrastructure; shortage of skilled labour and high costs, cross-border challenges. In addition, the optimization of supply chain management, development of regional industrial clusters and their inclusion in global value chains are discussed.
