Abstract

The article deals with questions about the role and importance of the state in the development of science and innovation. Particular attention is paid to the issues of intellectual property, legislative difficulties in the regulation of intellectual property rights are identified.

The author recognizes the special role of the state in supporting socially significant areas such as science, production, and innovative achievements. The article formulates modern trends in the development of science in the Russian Federation, assesses the structural changes taking place in this area, and proves that the development of the state in modern conditions is associated with a qualitative revision of the content of policy, including the legal policy of the state in relation to science and innovation processes
