Abstract

The article outlines the author’s view on a number of regulatory provisions that may be included in the draft European climate law. First of all, we are talking about the concept of “net zero emissions”, the indicators of which were fixed in 2019. in several countries of the European Union, including the UK and France. The author also gives an assessment of the European Green Deal (EGD) - a package of measures proposed by the European Commission on December 11, 2019, and containing a provision on the need to adopt a pan-European climate law. The author believes that the most accurate and substantive bills can be called: “Proposals for the content of the Pan-European Climate Law” submitted by B. Mariani, head of the European Climate Office, which contain adjustments to the current EU climate directives; “The draft Pan-European Climate Law” proposed by N. Mayer-Olendorf on January 14, 2020.
