Abstract

The article substantiates the need for to develop a basic technique for the investigation of crimes in the field of illicit drug trafficking. The author, analyzing the existing techniques of investigating certain types of crimes in this area, finds them one-sided and incomplete. This is manifested in the fact that they consider such crimes as single and completed, which does not allow to reveal their entire criminal chain. The dropped link is immediately replaced by a new one and the whole cycle of criminal activity continues to function further, drawing new people into the ranks of drug addicts, including minors.

The purpose of this work is to show the interrelation and interdependence of crimes in the sphere under consideration among themselves and the impossibility of their commission of one without the other in principle. The author comes to the conclusion that only recommendations of the basic technique for investigating crimes in the sphere of illicit drug trafficking will allow them to be successfully identified and investigated, starting with the introduction of narcotic drugs into il-licit trafficking, before marketing by any means. This will provide an opportunity to establish all participants in criminal activities in this area, up to and including the leaders of criminal for-mations; find out the roles of each of them; to trace the channels of receipt and sale of these funds, as well as other circumstances that help to quickly, comprehensively and objectively inves-tigate criminal cases of this category. Author gives her own definition of the basic technique of investigating of illegal drug trafficking; justifies in detail the structure of this technique and shows the dependence of its elements on the laws that influence both the commission of illicit drug trafficking and the activities of law enforcement agencies in identifying and investigating it.
