Abstract

The concepts of “legal entity” and “juridical person” are often confused in legal doctrine and translation. They are in fact not synonyms. The confusion creates legal risk and misleads readers as to what legal status a particular subject of law may have. This article explores the true meaning of each concept and the consequences of confusion.
