Abstract

The author informs about unknown facts of agreements, which a Kievan prince Oleg had concluded in 911 and a prince Igor had made with greeks (Byzantines) in 945. Although of double – sided way of the agreements, Byzantine representatives, being a creator of both texts, were able to use them as a method of keeping Kievan merchants from commiting crimes during their stay in Constantinopol.
