The review contains presentations by participants of the Scientific and practical conference on the theme "World history of Labour Law: trends and patterns", held on June 24, 2019 at Institute of State and Law of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The conference participants focused on both theoretical and practical issues of legal regulation of social and laboor relations in modern Russia. They discussed such issues as international labour standards and protection of the rights of the parties to an employment contract, the history and development of Russian Labour Law, prospects and main directions for improving its norms, legislative initiatives in the field of labour.
