Abstract

House - how much is behind this concept, but do we know how the culture of house building was formed in our country? What did the original national dwellings of the peoples inhabiting Russia look like? Why are they so different? Of course, the geographical conditions of residence dictated their own rules of construction: high mountains and endless plains, tundra, arid steppes and semi-deserts - this is the scope of territories and natural climatic zones to which the ancestors of our compatriots had to adapt. The characteristics of dwellings were influenced by the character of the people, their history and national traditions. At the beginning of the 20th century, Russia remained a peasant country, in which more than 85% of the population was engaged in agriculture and led a traditional way of life. And the dwellings met the requirements of farmers, cattle breeders, reindeer herders, and hunters.
